Event Details
The North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation Department will host the 6th Annual Touch-A-Truck on Saturday, April 6 from 10 AM – 2 PM. The event will be held at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex in the Soccer/Lacrosse Parking Lot. Admission is free.
Families can expect to see a variety of heavy machinery, first responder units, and large vehicles. The event offers children the ability to get hands on and explore these larger-than-life vehicles and equipment in a safe and educational environment. Other activities will be offered, such as face painting.
Touch-a-Truck is a great opportunity for children to see many different career paths in our community through the vehicles and equipment the businesses use to operate each day. Each organization participating will have someone at their vehicle to give “tours” to the children and teach them about the items purpose and functionality. The children will be able to beep horns, blare sirens, and interact with the vehicles and equipment, as well.
The City of North Myrtle Beach will be out in full force with vehicles and units from NMB Police, NMB Fire, NMB Facilities and Grounds team, and more. We are excited to have vehicles coming from multiple local businesses and organizations, including some of the utility companies, for children to interact with.
The North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation Department is excited to offer over 40 vehicles and equipment for kids to climb, learn, and discover!
