The Intracoastal Christmas Regatta is a traditional holiday kick-off on the waterway in Little River and North Myrtle Beach. Each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the curtain rises on this spectacular maritime parade at the Little River Inlet at 5 p.m. and travels south, arriving at Dock Holidays Marina at 7 p.m. All boats meet at Tilghman’s Point at 4:30p.m. The parade will begin at dusk and proceed down the waterway to Dock Holidays Marina. You may view the regatta from several locations along the waterway. Several restaurants along the parade route plan special menus and events as part of the celebration. The Intracoastal Christmas Regatta is more than just a boat parade. Through fund-raising activities and toy drives, an impact is made on the community and the lives of children throughout Horry County who, for some reason or another, might be falling through the cracks of traditional agencies that provide assistance.
