This tour tells of Myrtle Beach’s coming of age to present day, the movies that were made here, and the part music plays in local history.
The Myrtle Beach History, Movies & Music Trolley Tour will be held Tuesday, February 11th, from 2 – 4 PM. Guests will board a trolley for a two-hour narrated tour that will take them from The Market Common on a ride around Myrtle Beach; making stops at the Jack Thompson Gallery, where they will meet the beloved local icon who is both photographer and historian, and the South Carolina Hall of Fame. While aboard, they will hear about Myrtle Beach’s coming of age in the mid-twentieth century to present day, the movies that were made or premiered here, and the significance of music– whether beach music or country– in Myrtle Beach’s history.
