Those are just a few things the attendees look forward to when it comes to the South Carolina
Underground Music Awards, popularly known as, SCUMA! Since being created by Kendra
Darity, affectionately called Mizz KeKe, in 2010; SCUMA has definitely grown and taken off
since then. Starting off with just artists from the Myrtle Beach area; SCUMA has now
expanded to include North Carolina artists and talent, as well! The vision and purpose of
SCUMA is to give Carolina artist and talent a platform for recognition and exposure; especially since
Carolina artists’ hard work gets unnoticed many times! And SCUMA isn’t just for nominees or
winners of the categories, but for all artists and talent to come together to network, congratulate, and show what the Carolina underground scene is all about!
